About Poly-Forge
Poly-Forge right now is just myself – Christopher Tackett. I come from a background of 3D modeling, Graphic Design, Illustration and Product Development over a span of 28 years. During that time, I have created models and illustrations for various employers and clients around the world for print, commercial product, and video game industries. The last 8 years of employment were with Eleventyplex, a company in Cincinnati that specializes in toy sculpting and development. As of May 2021, I have ventured out on my own, hoping that I can create enough interest in my sculpts to do this full time.
During high school in the 80’s I played Bungeons and Dragons often with a group of friends back when it was still AD&D, then fell out of it when college started. I’ve never stopped my love of the fantasy worlds and creatures and it seems that world has called me back to discover and sculpt new characters and creatures and I’m loving every minute of it!
At the core of what I do best is creating likable and memorable characters. Both realistic, cartoony and anywhere in between. From the realistic to the stylized and cartoony, it’s the process of creating those characters that I love most about what I do. I believe that it’s not just the character, but I want to bring their story through in each digital sculpture.
